Flashcards

Flashcard are a great way of teaching vocabulary and can be used in games and activities. One of the main advantages of flashcards is that you can check your student's understanding. For example if a student says "I am a nurse" they may or may not understand the meaning of nurse; If they have the flashcard of doctor and say "I am a nurse" they don't understand the meaning. You can make your own flashcards or print them from the web.
Video
Short video clips are another great tool for your classroom. Again you can either make your own or look on the web. YouTube is a good source of short clips. When using video or other multimedia always make sure that it is relevant to your lesson.
